It is indeed my pleasure to announce  U.A.E. achievements in various fields of life, with emphasis on the establishment of a high quality and advanced educational system to enable the U.A.E. citizens to achieve progress and development. All this could have not been achieved in such relatively short span of time without the insightful vision of the late president H.H. Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who since the early days of the Federation  emphasized the importance of education. On many occasions he was quoted as saying that: “The wealth of any nation is its intellectuals and the progress of peoples and nations is judged by the level and extend of education they reach”.

Since its establishment in 1992 the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has focused on a strategic planning strategy for the higher Education Sector, promoted awareness among community members of  higher education in the U.A.E, and improved coordination between the relevant agencies and departments.

The U.A.E. has been blessed with an outstanding position that yields  prosperity, security and stability. In fact, it is a center of attraction for the establishment of prestigious academic institutions in the private sector. This has prompted the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to lay down strict rules and standards for such institutions, which take interest in carrying out high quality and state-of-the-art higher education activities, similar to those of the Universities accredited by the international academic accreditation bodies.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is keen to provide further higher education studies to distinctive students, and sends numbers of  students on scholarships abroad to engage with academic and scientific specializations that are mostly required for the U.A.E. development needs. The Ministry provides them with the necessary guidance, introduces them to accredited overseas higher education institutions, and verifies all the degrees and certificates and arranges for their equivalency.

Also the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research assists college bound students with the decision making process and facilitates their smooth transfer from the secondary level to the higher education level, and provides them with the appropriate atmosphere and environment to ensure high academic success.
